So I finished the dress in time--thank goodness for the machine blind hem function because that was a very full skirt. Cinderella went to the prom and a good time was had by all.

This was a re-issued Vogue pattern from the 50s. Unfortunately, I think they used the original (bad) instructions, but in the end the dress and the princess looked fabulous. Audrey Hepburn is our fashion goddess, in case you couldn't tell.

Just sublime, Barbara...!
I love Allie's necklace with that dress...and her date's loose tie and sideways cap go so well with the look!
I'm so glad they had fun...really neat!
Too cute! Love the dress and the couple is adorable!
Looks like a more "mature" version of last year's red dress! but I especially like the smile on her face! (I know those are hard to come by sometimes. . .)
Ya done good, Mom!
How sweet. Thanks for jerking the memory of making my stepdaughter's prom dress. That is one verrrrry ultra cool retro dress.
Forgot to add: Love the tiara and long gloves. Too cool.
Lovely! Glad you finished in time...glad they had a great time.
